The
President of the Republic Pedro Castillo delivered government guarantees to host the U-17 Soccer World Cup, which will be held in Peru next year.
The document titled "Government Declaration" was delivered to Peruvian Soccer Federation (FPF for its Spanish acronym) Chair Agustin Lozano, in order to organize the sporting event.
"Peru will host the
FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2023. Today, President Pedro Castillo handed over government guarantees to FPF Chairman Agustín Lozano in order to organize this great event. Together we promote sport!" the
Presidency of the Republic reported via Twitter on Thursday.
"(We are) supporting all government guarantees offered in relation to the FIFA U-17 World Cup Peru 2021, especially those related to investment in educational infrastructure, organization costs, security, and government guarantees," the statement said.
These guarantees refer to the entry and exit permits for delegations, work permits, currency exchange, security, legal framework and legal matters, protection of commercial rights, telecommunications, computer topics, and tax exemption —the same that will apply to the 20th edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup to be held in Peru.
