Peru: President extends fraternal greetings to Piura, Arequipa, and Huanuco on anniversary

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Monday conveyed his fraternal greetings to the people of Piura, Arequipa, and Huanuco on the founding anniversary of these cities, which is being marked today.

In a post on Twitter, the Head of State told inhabitants from these regions of the country that together they will vindicate social struggles that have been postponed over time. 

Additionally, Mr. Castillo asked them to work together for the development of their peoples.

"I extend my fraternal greetings to my brothers and sisters from Piura, Arequipa and Huanuco as they celebrate another year of historical foundation of their cities," he remarked.

"Together we will vindicate postponed social struggles. Let us work together for the true development of our peoples. Happy Anniversary!" the dignitary said in a tweet.

Arequipa celebrates 482 years of its foundation, while Huanuco and Piura mark their 483rd and 490th anniversary, respectively.

Said cities have prepared a series of commemorative and celebration activities as part of such important date.
