President Martin Vizcarra on Wednesday affirmed the Cabinet attends Parliament to present the confidence motion requested by him last Sunday.
He went on to add the Executive Branch is following the Constitution and all decisions are in accordance with the Magna Carta.
Furthermore, the Head of State pointed out Parliament has made up for the lost time and promptly approved the National Council of the Magistracy (CNM) reform project. The CNM has been renamed National Justice Board.
In this sense, the Peruvian leader explained democracy does not exist only to give citizens an opportunity to choose during elections, but also to assist authorities in decision-making processes. Therefore,
the referendum is important, he added.
Remarks were made to the press at the Government Palace.
