Peru President confident citizens will be scrupulous in analyzing their vote

President Martin Vizcarra has expressed confidence that Peruvians will be very scrupulous in analyzing their vote and electing the best candidates in the 2020 parliamentary elections.

After participating in the delivery of property titles in northern Tumbes region, the Head of State stressed citizens know that —based on a good decision— there will be an adequate articulation to achieve progress and development in the country.

When asked about the decision of some former members of the dissolved Congress to run in the coming elections, the President said he did not understand the decisions some politicians make.

However, the top official noted, it will depend on the population to make a decision on the matter with the vote.

The statesman also said he was satisfied with the support of nearly 70% of the population to the measures adopted by the Executive Branch related to the constitutional dissolution of Congress announced on September 30.

Furthermore, President Vizcarra ratified his commitment to continue working for the people.

Finally, he urged the Permanent Commission members to focus on what the law mandates.

"They are used to doing what does not apply," he concluded.
