With a minute of silence, the President of the Republic Pedro Castillo and Armed Force members paid tribute to the people who had lost their lives due to the COVID-19 pandemic, terrorist acts, and while defending the homeland.

The Head of State, along with Cabinet chief Guido Bellido and Defense Minister Walter Ayala, paid tribute to the deceased citizens in front of the votive flame lit in Army General Headquarters courtyard.

At the site, members of the Armed Forces and various public institutions participated in solemn march.

Following a tribute to the fallen, a video based on the independence and Peruvian history, and the participation of the Armed Forces in them, was screened.

Within this framework, the actions carried out by military institutes in times of pandemic were also mentioned, which consist of civic, monitoring, and assistance actions.

The parade takes place behind closed doors due to the health emergency faced by the South American country.
