Peruvian Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez on Thursday urged citizens to respect the Vaccination Plan against COVID-19, which will be implemented starting April 16, by complying with the schedules of Pongo el Hombro (I lend the shoulder) digital platform.

Therefore, people must attend vaccination centers on the date and time established on the digital platform.

Likewise, the Cabinet chief reported that a complementary vaccination has been planned for Mondays and Tuesdays for those adults aged above 80, who do not appear on the list over different reasons, either because they are circumstantially in the capital city but reside in other provinces, as they are foreign citizens, among other reasons.

People, who —due to force majeure— do not attend the vaccination centers on the set date, may attend on those days.

In this sense, the PCM head urged those —who do not have appointments— not to visit the sites this weekend in order to avoid crowds.

Similarly, the government's spokesperson requested citizens to comply with the assigned schedule and not to arrive at dawn or queue up.

"Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, people —who have an appointment and are on the schedule— should not queue up from 4:00 a.m. There will be several vaccination posts so that we can serve them simultaneously (...)," she underlined.
