Prime Minister Cesar Villanueva on Monday affirmed the Executive Branch is willing to work together with the Legislative Power.
According to the official, the differences between them ended following the referendum held last Sunday in the Inca country.
"This result opens a new work stage between the Executive Branch and diverse Congress' political groups aimed at continuing (to implement) the reforms," the cabinet chief expressed.
Furthermore, thanks to this outcome, the proposed bicameral legislature can be reviewed and assessed in the future.
Prime Minister Villanueva went on to add he hopes Parliament will call an extraordinary session in order to speed up the reforms.
He also announced President Martin Vizcarra will address the nation in the coming days with the purpose of defining the administration's next steps.
Last July, the release of audios containing phone conversations that involved judges, entrepreneurs, and CNM members led to a scandal in the justice system.
Therefore, the Vizcarra administration intends to implement a positive change in Peru with these reforms.
