Prime Minister Cesar Villanueva on Wednesday affirmed President Vizcarra's administration seeks a deep change in the Inca country's political-justice system; thus, he requested Congress to approve the reforms submitted by the Executive Branch regarding those issues.
"(…) We urge all Congress members to approve the Government policies linked to integrity and
fight against corruption, as well as institutional strengthening for governance," the official added.
According to the Prime Minister, these reforms are necessary in order to turn the country into a competitive and viable one, as well as to regain trust in the political class, which has drifted apart from the
population.
Likewise, Villanueva assured the confidence motion is not a threat, but a tool used within the constitutional framework.
