Peru names ambassadors to Holy See and Colombia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has appointed Jorge Eduardo Roman Morey as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to the Holy See.

The appointment was made official by Supreme Resolution No. 115-2021-RE, published on Thursday in the official gazette El Peruano.

Likewise, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs appointed Felix Ricardo Americo Antonio Denegri Boza as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to the Republic of Colombia.

This appointment was made official by Supreme Resolution No. 116-2021-RE, published on Thursday in the official gazette El Peruano.

These designations were made in accordance with Section 12 of Article 118 of the Political Constitution of Peru, which establishes the power of the President of the Republic to appoint Ambassadors and Ministers Plenipotentiary, with the approval of the Council of Ministers, responsible for reporting to Congress.

The resolutions were signed by the President of the Republic Pedro Castillo and Foreign Affairs Minister Oscar Maurtua de Romaña.
