La Libertad Chamber of Commerce (CCL) signed on Tuesday an inter-institutional cooperation agreement with the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Peru (
INCHAM Peru).
The aim is to expand business activity and generate new opportunities for their associates.
This trade alliance will enable
small and medium-sized enterprises in both countries to develop joint promotion, training, cooperation, and technical assistance programs aimed at increasing management, quality, and competitiveness levels.
Moreover, it will serve to ensure close and effective cooperation —regarding continuous development— between both institutions in order to establish strategies for planning, implementation, and supervision of activities.
"A range of opportunities is opened for both chambers and their associates, mainly for small and medium-sized enterprises, through this alliance. One of the most interesting sectors for us is leather and footwear, as well as
agro-industry, with its processed products," INCHAM Peru Chairman Rohit Rao said.
Rao expressed the possibility of mutual visits to exchange experiences and knowledge between the two chambers, as well as to organize joint activities such as seminars, business conferences, and trade missions.
