The Judicial Branch on Thursday ordered the end of the 36-month detention ruled on April 30 against Luis Nava —ex-Secretary General of the Presidency and former Production Minister under the Alan Garcia administration (2006-2011)— and replaced this measure for house arrest.

In this sense, the Judiciary declared valid the request of Nava's legal defense.

During the hearing, the Public Ministry —represented by Prosecutor Jose Domingo Perez— adhered to the abovementioned petition.

However, Perez requested some restrictions should be imposed on Nava, such as the prohibition on communicating with other co-defendants (except for his son Jose Nava), witnesses, and experts included in this criminal proceedings.

Likewise, the prosecutor asked to forbid Nava from speaking with members, executives, associates, or affiliates linked to the APRA political party.
