The Peruvian Government will boost an information campaign to assure the population that vaccines against COVID-19 are safe, as well as to counter the lies claiming that these do not work, Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez has affirmed.

"We have heard absolutely irresponsible statements that have caused this fear among many segments of the population," Bermudez said in remarks to Canal N.

"Because of that, we are organizing a campaign to encourage people to get vaccinated," she added.

That figure corresponds to the quantity of doses that will surely arrive in the country thru that moment.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister denied that the government had worked with the so-called Vaccine Command and recalled that when the Emergency and Transition Government took office in November 2020, "we found zero vaccines and no signed contracts."
