The Government of Peru is carrying out a comprehensive assessment of the measures adopted —
from March 15 up to the present day— to combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and will announce the new provisions to be applied during the second stage of the health emergency.
The Press Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic reported that a Council of Ministers session will be held on Monday morning, followed by a virtual press conference at about noon.
"Said conference will explore the new measures to be undertaken in the next stage of the emergency, which runs from March 31 to April 12," it stated.
It was reported that Ministers Victor Zamora (Health) and Rocio Barrios (Production) are in the Amazonian region of Loreto monitoring the implementation of the measures taken to deal with this virus.
