Peru: Government appoints new Deputy Territorial Governance Minister

The Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) has designated Paul Werner Caiguaray Perez as the new Deputy Minister of Territorial Governance.

The appointment was made official via Supreme Resolution No. 027-2023-PCM, which was published on Monday in the Official Gazette El Peruano.

Likewise, the PCM terminated the appointment of Jose Alberto Muro Ventura in said position, through Supreme Resolution No. 026-2023-PCM.

Paul Caiguaray is an industrial engineer from National University of Trujillo. He had been working as General Manager at the National Superintendence of Public Registries (Sunarp).

The newly-appointed official has been General Manager of the National Superintendence of Migrations.

Moreover, he has served as Deputy Transportation Minister and as General Director at the Planning and Budget Office of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC)

Furthermore, Caiguaray has been head of the Public Investment Policies Unit at the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and head of the Projects Office at the Ministry of Culture.
