Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Thursday announced that his administration's goal is to issue 200,000 property titles across the South American country this year.
"The aim for this year is to issue 200,000 property titles and increase the annual figure fourfold," he expressed.
In his speech, Vizcarra emphasized that having a property registered in the National Superintendency of Public Registries (SUNARP) promotes business ventures, as it can be used as guarantee for loans.
In this sense, he said the physical and legal cleanup of lands is key to reverse the situation of poverty, exploitation, and the proliferation of
illicit activities like illegal mining and human trafficking.
Likewise, the Peruvian leader indicated that up to S/65 million (around US$19 million) in credits would be available this year for agricultural producers in order to give them the impetus they need.
