Peru: Get to know Lima 2019 Pan Am Games documentary

13:05 | Lima, Jan. 30.

The Special Project for the preparation and development of the XVIII Pan American Games and VI Parapan American Games Lima 2019 on Thursday presented the trailer of the documentary titled "Para Siempre" (For Ever), which addresses the stories, the development, and positive impact left by the important international multidisciplinary sports event.

The first preview of the full-length film starts with the quote: "There are stories that we must remember forever," then places the audience two years and ten months ago when many people used to question whether Peru would be ready for the Lima 2019 opening ceremony

"Overcoming that mistrust has been the greatest challenge of this organization," Lima 2019 Games' former Executive-Secretary Amalia Moreno stressed.

Likewise, the trailer contains statements by different athletes, who were the protagonists of this mega event that filled everyone with pride.

Furthermore, it brings together various voices about what the Lima 2019 Games meant for Lima and all Peruvians, as well as the opportunities and challenges that Peru has as a country.

This documentary also includes an important record of sport competitions along with the opening and closing ceremonies.

It should be noted that "Para Siempre" —directed by Ricardo Maldonado— is a piece of evidence that Lima 2019 —in addition to uniting sport and culture— generated a valuable opportunity to transform Peru based on the Games' values.

Finally, this is a documentary that can be watched by all Peruvians free of charge to fill us with pride.
