14:54 | Lima, Jul. 6.

President Martin Vizcarra's wife Maribel Diaz on Friday sent a warm greeting to Peruvian educators and highlighted their tireless and committed efforts on the occasion of Teacher's Day.

"Happy Teacher's Day to all those educators who, day after day, contribute to shaping new generations," she expressed.

In addition, Mrs. Diaz —an educator by profession— stressed the important role teachers play in youngsters' professional training.

"(Happy Teacher's Day) to those who work in a tireless and committed way alongside our children and young people in order to achieve progress, as well as a better future for our beloved country," she concluded.

It must be noted there are currently some 600,000 teachers in Peru working at educational centers, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI).

As is known, President Vizcarra also saluted educators on their day, which is celebrated on July 6 every year.
