Peru FA Min meets with U.S. Congress members

Peru's Foreign Affairs Minister Gustavo Meza-Cuadra and Ambassador to Washington D.C. Hugo de Zela met with a delegation of Congress members from the United States in Lima on Monday.

The foreign delegation was led by Republican Congressman Steve Scalise from the State of Louisiana.

Among the topics discussed, they highlighted the bilateral cooperation in security, fight against transnational organized crime, regional trade, the current situation in Venezuela, as well as humanitarian aid related to the Venezuelan migration.

The event took place at Torre Tagle Palace.

As is known, Meza-Cuadra was sworn in as Foreign Affairs Minister on October 3. Previously, the diplomat served as Peruvian Ambassador to the United Nations.
