Peru's national soccer team on Tuesday defeated its Ecuadorian counterpart 2-1 in the Conmebol World Cup Qualifiers 2022.
The match was played at Rodrigo Paz Delgado Stadium in Ecuador's capital Quito.
Peruvian goals were scored by Christian Cueva and Luis Advincula.
In the first half, Italian-Peruvian striker Gianluca Lapadula had some chances to score, but he ended assisting his teammates.
In the second half, at 61', Christian Cueva scored the first goal for the Peruvian side, assisted by Lapadula. Then, Luis Advincula did the second in the 87th minute.
Finally, Gonzalo Plata scored Ecuador's only goal in the 91st minute.
