A high-level government delegation, led by
Culture Minister Alejandro Neyra, on Monday met with indigenous peoples' members in Loreto region.
During the gathering, the minister listened to members of such populations in order to reopen communication channels and solve
the conflict in Block 95.
As is known, a clash outside Petrotal company in the locality of Bretaña, located in Puinahua district, left 3 locals dead as well as 11 civilians and 6 police officers injured.
For their part, the indigenous peoples' members expressed their needs in terms of health care during the coronavirus pandemic.
The meeting featured members of the Indigenous COVID-19 Command in Loreto and representatives of the Ombudsman Office.
