Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz has joined the #BonusTrash —a challenge that turns plastic into music and social assistance.

The artist will arrive in Peru to start his tour and give a concert on February 13.

He accepted a challenge that will help the children from Vinchos community in Andean Ayacucho region. Said challenge was started by Peruvian singer ANIA, with the aim of collecting the plastic bottles that will be used during the concert in Lima.

The "Bonus Trash" campaign consists in encouraging the artist's fans to recycle and donate the plastic bottles they will have access to at the gig.

In the area, seven recycling containers will be placed. If all of them are completely filled that day, Sanz will sing an additional tune during his show.

"The collected bottles will be converted into blankets and be donated to families suffering the cold spell impacts in the country's interior regions. We want this initiative to be replicated through other national and international artists, and we thank Alejandro Sanz for joining this campaign. We all know his supportive heart," ANIA expressed.

"We hope that all those attending the concert on February 13 will recycle and donate their bottles by placing them into the containers (…)," she emphasized.

All bottles will be delivered to the Fundacion Angeles de Esperanza (Angels of Hope Foundation) led by Marisol Martinez. The institution is recognized in Peru for the constant social efforts it undertakes in favor of citizens in most need.
