The electoral materials to be used in the runoff election this Sunday, June 7, and sent abroad by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are already arriving in various countries around the world.

The first electoral materials arrived in Leticia (Colombia), Havana (Cuba), and Moscow (Russia), the Ministry reported on X.

Likewise, it noted that to overcome logistical and geographical challenges, five officials from the sector personally transported the materials to the three aforementioned cities, while they are still en route to the remaining two destinations — Beijing (China) and Pretoria (South Africa).

The government agency also specified that the remaining materials for the June 7 runoff are being distributed to 63 countries via international courier service.

The Ministry confirmed that 218 polling places will be set up in various countries around the world for the upcoming election day.

As previously reported, the government agency this week received the voting materials from the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE), which are being distributed abroad for the presidential runoff election.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry received 1,850 packages from the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE), after which it began distributing them to Peru’s missions abroad before they are delivered to the 218 polling places set up worldwide.
