This visit —in response to an invitation made by the Peruvian Government— aims to promote a democratic governance agenda, the fight against corruption and in favor of peoples' rights.
Likewise, it seeks to strengthen the hemispheric multilateral institutional framework in order to promote democracy and political stability, giving priority to the social component and equal opportunities.
Furthermore, the certification of the transparency, legality, and impartiality of the 2021 general elections —carried out by the
OAS Electoral Observation Mission— will be highlighted.

Similarly, a meeting with electoral authorities and their participation in an activity organized by the Diplomatic Academy of Peru has been contemplated.
