Netflix announces biographical series about Peru's Guerrero

The experienced striker Paolo Guerrero, one of the most beloved soccer players in Peru, will be the subject of a biographical documentary to be available on Netflix —the most successful streaming service in the world.

Netflix CEO Reed Hastings, who is in Peru to embark on another original project, made the announcement on Thursday.

The documentary will mainly explore the experience Paolo Guerrero went through when he was sanctioned by FIFA and banned from playing because of a positive doping test by the end of 2017.

The series will be produced by Torneos, an Argentine production company that was in charge of producing "Apache: The Life of Carlos Tevez."

It was revealed that the series will premiere next year and will consist of 6 episodes.
