Peruvian Pedro Pablo de Vinatea won the Para badminton gold medal in the men's singles SL3 final at the Lima 2019 Parapan American Games
De Vinatea defeated Brazilian Leonardo Zuffo 2-0 (21-11, 21-3) after 34 minutes of play.
The event took place at the Sport Center 3 in the National Sports Village (VIDENA).
The match was held in the presence of Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra and an enthusiastic crowd.
So far, Peru has claimed 14 medals, including gold (4), silver (3), and bronze (7) at these Parapan American Games, thus surpassing the country's record of 11 medals earned at Mexico 1999.
