Justice Minister meets with representatives of UN agencies in Peru

Justice and Human Rights Minister Felix Chero on Monday met with representatives of agencies of the United Nations in Peru, in order to discuss subjects of common interest in the field of justice and human rights.

The meeting saw the participation of representatives of the offices of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Peru, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), and UNICEF Peru.

During the activity, Minister Chero pledged to strengthen the support provided to adolescents in conflict with criminal law

Likewise, the meeting served to inform of the initiative that will collect criminal information at three youth centers in Lima starting today.

The meeting also featured UN Resident Coordinator in Peru, Igor Garafulic; the Director-General of Criminological Affairs at the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights (MINJUSDH), Beyker Chamorro; and the head of the Cabinet of Advisors at MINJUSDH, Claudia del Pozo.
