Last June, Peru's economic activity grew 2.6% year-on-year, above May's 0.6% lackluster outturn. Therefore, national production in January–June inched up to 1.7% from 1.5% in January–May, the latest FocusEconomics' LatinFocus Consensus Forecast report recalled.
In terms of productive sectors, expansions were recorded in the
construction, trade, telecommunications, transport, and
manufacturing segments.
However, contractions were registered in the mining and fishing sectors.
