Mandatory social immobility (curfew), introduced by the Government to prevent COVID-19 transmission, will be in force all day long today, on Father's Day, throughout Peru.

According to Supreme Decree No. 105-2021-PCM, the curfew will be in place across the national territory, regardless of the risk level in each province.

This measure is intended to restrict the movement of people and social gatherings that may generate a greater risk of transmission amid the pandemic.

The use of private vehicles has been restricted, but citizens are allowed to go out on foot or by bicycle, only to buy staples, medicine, and to pick up takeout food from restaurants.

In addition, stores providing essential goods, supermarkets, markets, itinerant markets, bodegas, and pharmacies are allowed to operate on this day.

Opening hours of these businesses will be from 4 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the capacity limits allowed under the alert level rules in place in each province.

Pharmacies and drugstores will operate a 24-hour delivery service, and restaurants will be open for delivery service from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. only.

It is worth noting that the vaccination process against COVID-19 will proceed normally on Father's Day.
