FAO executes cooperation projects supporting Peru's Govt during COVID-19 pandemic

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has been supporting the Peruvian Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation to ensure the availability and access of healthy, safe, nutritious, and sufficient food, the Foreign Affairs Ministry has reported.

Thus, the UN-attached institution serves the vulnerable populations in the South American country during and after the COVID-19 health emergency.

Likewise, FAO has started the implementation of a project on sustainable and resilient food systems in the country, within the framework of the new coronavirus.

Furthermore, it has been executing a project on institutional strengthening for the articulation of plans, programs, and projects aimed at family farming and the recovery of rural economies.
