11:46 | Lima, Nov. 20 (ANDINA).
The Spanish footballer Cristian Benavente, who plays for Real Madrid youth team, was called by Juan Jose Ore to join the U-17 national team.
The Spanish-born son of a Peruvian woman agreed to play for the national U-17 team, El Comercio daily reported.
The youngster will come to Lima at the end of the month and will participate in two friendly matches against Uruguay.
“I was asked if I wanted to play for the U-17 team and I said yes. That is the reason why I'm travelling to Lima on November 30 to join the trainings,” said the talented winger.
Benavente knows the Peruvian football very well and even said it would be too much to join the national team along with Farfan, Pizarro or Guerrero.
This Spanish player with a Peruvian heart arrives in Lima on November 30. No matter what happens, Peru’s U-17 national team will have a player from Real Madrid.
