Peruvian Tenor Juan Diego Flores has been nominated for the Olivier Awards, one of the most prestigious event in the UK’s theatrical calendar.
The Olivier Awards have nominated Joyce DiDonato and Juan Diego Flórez for the Outstanding Achievement in Opera award for their peformances in La Donna del Lago at the Royal Opera House in 2013.
"Joyce DiDonato and Juan Diego Flórez won the hearts of the critics and public alike for their performances in Rossini's passionate romance as the titular lady of the lake and the benevolent king of Scotland", he wrote on his official webpage.
The other nominees in this category include Plácido Domingo, for his performance in Nabbuco at the Royal Opera House, and the English Touring Opera.
The star-studded 2014 Olivier Awards ceremony will take place at the Royal Opera House, in London on April 13.
