Peru Libre (Free Peru) —the party that nominated Pedro Castillo to run for the Presidency of the Republic— proposes in its government plan allocating 10% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to the health sector and calling for a referendum in order to elect a National Constituent Assembly.

This measure seeks to strengthen the sector and guarantee proper medical care for all Peruvians. Likewise, it aims to acquire a greater amount of medical oxygen and implement more ICU beds.

Moreover, it aims to call for referendum to elect a National Constituent Assembly —made up of popular organizations, workers' representatives, and political parties— to be in charge of drafting a new Constitution.

Another proposal is to declare the education sector in emergency and increase the budget with the purpose of improving infrastructure, equipment, and salaries of teachers nationwide.

There is also the need to boost the agriculture sector by providing greater support from the State, so that small farmers can improve their production and living conditions.
