The Summit of Heads of State of the Union of South American Nations (Unasur) to be held in Lima on November 30 will promote regional integration, Unasur Secretary General Ali Rodríguez said.
Rodríguez stated he is working hard with the Peruvian government on the event to ensure its successful execution.
The meeting will bring together authorities from 12 South American countries.
“I think this Summit will boost the integration process due to issues to be discussed, thus we hope to make faster progress," he said.
In addition, Rodriguez noted that after ending meetings of the Unasur Council of Delegates Sectoral councils, the meeting of foreign ministers will be held on November 29 prior to the Summit.
