Inbound tourism in Peru would increase between nine and ten percent in 2013, this is more than twice the world tourism growth (four percent), Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) has said.
"By 2013, we expect to grow more than twice the world tourism growth, that is between nine and ten percent, thanks to measures taken by Mincetur to promote tourist arrivals”, Peru's Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism Jose Luis Silva noted.

This growth involves the arrival of three million visitors, who will generate US$3.5 billion in revenues, while this year tourism in Peru will grow over 9%, Silva stated.

In 2011, tourism was the fourth major foreign exchange earner in the country with US$ 2.9 billion and it is expected to attract 3.2 billion and 2.8 million tourists this year.
