TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew will officially arrive in Peru for the first time to participate in the events to be held within the framework of the
Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC Peru 2024) forum, Peru's Senior Official for APEC Renato Reyes reported on Thursday.
"For the first time in the history of TikTok, its CEO will be in Peru," the ambassador said, referring to the participation of the Singaporean businessman in the upcoming event.
Shou Zi Chew will participate in the

Reyes noted that the TikTok CEO will participate in the APEC Business Leaders' Summit, where "approximately 1,000 entrepreneurs from the Asia-Pacific region are expected to attend."
Confirmed attendees include JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon and Google Government Affairs & Public Policy Global Head Karan Bhatia, among other leaders.
"The impact that APEC has on Peru, from the point of view of adequately positioning its foreign policy in the Asia-Pacific region, also contributes to the creation of spaces for investment and trade in practice," Reyes underlined.
The diplomat added this is because world leaders "are accompanied by a significant number of businesspeople."
Regarding this group, he mentioned that they have their own dynamics within the APEC CEO Summit, whose agenda is interesting, which facilitates networking opportunities and business routes development.
