PromPeru, Dutch cooperation promote sustainable exports

13:29 | Lima, Sep. 17.

Peru's Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru) recognized 12 companies from the agro-industrial and garment sectors that participated in the Corporate Social Responsibility Program implemented —with the support of the Orange Knowledge Programme (NUFFIC)— between May and September 2019, the State-run organization reported on Tuesday.

Agricola Cerro Prieto, Agricola Don Ricardo, Agroexportadora Tasta, AICASA, Algarrobos Organicos del Peru, Burana, Corceli, Espacio Concepto Moda, Las Tres Margaritas, Rasil, Rinconcito de las Tradiciones Peruana, and Textil Airin were the participants.

This important effort between PromPeru and Dutch cooperation seeks to promote the use of tools and practices for the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility in the Inca country's export businesses

During the abovementioned months, PromPeru and NUFFIC led the training in the management of tools and techniques to implement Corporate Social Responsibility, the importance of export trends within the framework of CSR, as well as the development of CSR action plans and rules of conduct.

Likewise, the participants received guidance so they could create their own strategic communication plan for CSR actions with the purpose of contributing to the development and professional growth of companies, as well as the sustainability of their exports.

It should be noted the Orange Knowledge Programme aims to contribute to a society's sustainable and inclusive development by offering access to education and training to professionals and organizations.

The Dutch Embassy's Commercial and Cultural Attaché Gerwin Woudt was present at the ceremony.
