President Martin Vizcarra on Thursday landed in northern Tumbes region to oversee the areas previously affected by heavy rains.
The Head of State was joined by Governor Wilmer Dios Benites, who had also participated in the
10th GORE-Executive meeting in Lima earlier today.
Both of them will visit the Regional Emergency Operations Center (COER).
There, the top official is expected to hold a meeting with National Civil Defense Institute (Indeci) representatives to assess the damages caused by the rains.
Later, the statesman and other authorities are will visit Casitas and Pampas de Hospital districts, which have become isolated due to the ravages of nature.
