The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Thursday affirmed that the country's development must be built by all Peruvian citizens, without distinction, and not just wait for the government and national authorities to fulfill that task.

"(…) let's not expect that only the government or the authority will shape the (country's) development. This country must be built by everyone. Peru must be built hand in hand," Mr. Castillo expressed during his meeting with residents of Nuevo Chimbote settlement in Ancash region.

Within this framework, the Head of State reiterated that teamwork is essential to achieve the nation's objectives.

On the other hand, regarding Nuevo Chimbote's lack of access to the bypass route, Mr. Castillo indicated that he will order Transportation and Communications Minister Geiner Alvarado to solve this problem as soon as possible.

"If the population needs something, it is not simply out of necessity, but it is a right and an obligation of the government to address the people's needs, to address the clamor of farmers and workers," he said.

Similarly, the top official stated that he will continue working for the country's development as the people had elected him for that task. In this sense, he added that there are sectors which do not want to see reality.
