The
President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Friday affirmed that unity is needed to end inequalities and social gaps in the country.
In addition, the top official called for ending the political confrontation that harms the country.
The Head of State made the remarks after taking part in the establishment of a roundtable to address the social problems caused by floods in the area of La Leche River basin.
"We have to solve the problems together, because we are stronger than the problems if we are united. Let us not give any more respite to major inequalities," he pointed out.
The dignitary stated that the country needs the President, Congress, the ministers, the mayor, and the regional government.
In this connection, Mr. Castillo welcomed the willingness of the three levels of government to carry out an effective agricultural development, with the establishment of La Calzada roundtable.
According to the Head of State, the fact of being in Pacora, a district in Lambayeque region, is a real sign of the Government political will to undertake and develop the Second Agrarian Reform.
"La Calzada project is part of it (the Second Agrarian Reform)," he remarked.
