President of Peru attends Attorney General's Office headquarters

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Wednesday morning went to the Public Ministry's headquarters to testify about the deaths that occurred during social protests in December 2022 and January last year.

Thus, the Head of State attended the Attorney General's Office headquarters in compliance with the summons issued by said institution.  

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Alberto Otarola confirmed the presence of President Boluarte in the Public Ministry's headquarters.

The Cabinet chief has also been summoned by the Attorney General's Office to give his statement today, September 27, at 2:30 p.m.

The summons to the members of the Executive Branch has been issued within the framework of the preliminary investigation against President Dina Boluarte, as well as other authorities and government officials, for the alleged crimes of genocide, qualified homicide and abuse of authority.

This is the third summons that the President of the Republic has received in this case
