President of Peru arrives at United Nations headquarters in New York

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Monday arrived at the United Nations headquarters in New York City, U.S., to participate in the opening of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development.

According to the presidential agenda, the Head of State will participate at the 2023 SDG Summit Leaders' Dialogue 1 to discuss actions on key transitions to accelerate SDG progress.

This is an official activity of the President within the framework of her participation in the 78th UN General Assembly.

The top official is also expected to meet with her Costa Rican counterpart, Rodrigo Chaves.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, September 19, President Boluarte will participate in the UN General Assembly along with other Heads of State and world leaders.

Mrs. Boluarte's work agenda in New York includes various bilateral meetings and other economic activities, in order to strengthen the country's image and attract foreign investment.

The dignitary arrived on Sunday at JFK International Airport, where she was welcomed by Peru's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Victor Garcia Toma; Ambassador to the United States, Gustavo Meza-Cuadra; and Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States, Gustavo Adrianzen.
