The
President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Tuesday announced measures in favor of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the security required for the development of the sector's activities.
In this regard, the Head of State remarked that all ministries in her government will join the
Compras a MyPeru program, through which products are bought from local small- and medium-sized enterprises.
"State-run entities will buy products to these companies," she emphasized.
In this respect, the dignitary affirmed that ministerial portfolios and public entities will articulate a nearly S/1 billion (US$271 million) package of purchases to said sector in 2024.
The Reactiva Peru program was designed to promote recovery in the business activity. In this case, competitive interest rates will be given for loans that last longer.
"In November, we will propose a method of economic formalization, including administrative, tax, labor, and pension measures aimed at the above-mentioned business sector," she added.
The announcement was made at the closing of the 16th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) SME Summit in Lima's San Isidro district.
