President Castillo participates in Thanksgiving for Peru ceremony

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Friday participated in the Thanksgiving for Peru ceremony organized by the Evangelical Christian Churches.

The Head of State arrived at the Catedral de Fe-Centro de Avivamiento (Cathedral of Faith-Revival Center) in Lima joined by members of the Council of Ministers, as well as other authorities and official guests.

He was also accompanied by First Lady of the Nation Lilia Paredes.

The 27th ceremony was held on the occasion of the 201st Anniversary of Peru's Independence.

It was hosted by various evangelical churches based in the country that prayed for Peru and for the well-being of all citizens.

Later, the top official will participate in the Civic-Military Parade to be held at the Army General Headquarters in Lima's San Borja district.

High authorities, the Diplomatic Corps, as well as members of the Armed Forces are invited to this activity.

At 2:00 p.m. (local time), the President of the Republic will host a luncheon to be attended by Armed Forces and National Police members at the Great Dining Room of the Government Palace.
