on Saturday announced that her administration will continue to work tirelessly nationwide, with the aim of solving the main problems that afflict the population.
Remarks were made during the ceremony marking the start of potable water system enhancement and expansion works in Andres Avelino Caceres district, Huamanga province, Ayacucho region.
"My Government will continue working tirelessly across Peru; we will continue embracing poverty and misery, but to turn them (their defeat) into a fulfilled promise, into dreams come true, into hope that is built day by day; deeds, not words!" she stated.
Likewise, Mrs. Boluarte indicated that the ideologies which prevail "in a minority manner" do not feed poor people, but rather "only generate misery, backwardness, sorrow, and pain."
"That is why we are here, to lay the first stone in concrete (public) works that can change the face of our compatriots, with joy, so that the brothers from Ayacucho can have life and health," she expressed.
The president affirmed that this area of the country has been neglected for 30 years or more, as former presidents of the republic and previous authorities had not developed public works to enhance infrastructure.
Moreover, the top official said that, with all those projects destined for Ayacucho, it will be possible to close potable water gaps in this Andean region.
"For this president, Ayacucho is a priority because we have been able to observe in the history of Peru the oblivion it suffered, and it is not fair to write history about that same backwardness, but rather to write history with progress and well-being," she added.
