The Presidency of the Republic on Tuesday published a message on the occasion of World Water Day.

Via Twitter, it indicated that better water management will ensure the sustainable development of Peru and of the natural sources of this resource.

Said management corresponds to joining it with the implementation of sanitation measures, as well as the responsible and supportive use of water.

World Water Day is celebrated every March 22 to commemorate the importance of this resource.

According to the United Nations, 2.2 billion people live without access to safe water, despite the fact that all social and economic activities depend, to a great extent, on the supply of fresh water and its quality.

The date aims to raise awareness about global water crisis and the need to seek measures to address it, as well as achieve Sustainable Development Goal No. 6: Ensure Access to Water and Sanitation for all by 2030.
