All the COVID-19 vaccines that are being administered in the country are safe and have been rigorously tested, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) affirmed on Sunday.

"The different vaccines that are being administered in Peru went through a rigorous process, and absolutely all the data on every stage have been published," the PCM said on Twitter.

The Presidency of the Council of Ministers urged Peruvians to get vaccinated and be better protected against COVID-19.

So far, 52,035,585 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the country, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) has recently reported.

Out of that total, 5,011,521 were given as a third (booster) dose.
