National Service for Protected Natural Areas (Sernanp) has highlighted the fact that the Netflix film "Don't Look Up" has chosen Playa Roja —a beach located in the Paracas National Reserve— as a natural setting for the movie.
Thus, Peru's natural settings are part of the film's plot, which brings the country's wonders to the global stage.
Peruvian actors Ramon Garcia and Andre Silva were cast during the shooting.
While their parts in the film are brief, the actors were gratified by the role they played and by the fact that they appear in one of the core scenes of the movie.
According to Silva, this is a way to showcase national talents for hundreds of productions around the world.
In the film, Garcia plays a taxi driver who sees a comet passing by, like Silva.
It is not in vain that Sernanp gave an account of this fact on its fan page.
