Peru has gold medalist at the Claro Isa 50th Anniversary World Surfing Games, as Anali Gomez was crowned as Women’s champion after an intense Day 8 at the world-class pointbreak of Punta Rocas, Peru.

Demonstrating solid performances all week long, Dominic “Mimi” Barona from Ecuador and Peru’s Anali Gomez faced each other for the Gold Medal and the latter gained the victory.

Gomez got the first place with a total heat score of 12.86, followed by her Ecuadorian competitor with 12.53 points. 

On the other hand, Team Peru also had a successful performance and was crowned as world team champion and ISA Aloha Cup gold medalist.

After an exciting ISA Aloha Cup Semifinals on Friday, Peru, South Africa, Argentina and Australia had to battle today for gold in the Final, being Team Peru the winner.

The ISA Aloha Cup is a tag-team relay competition. Each team is made up of 3 Men and 1 Woman and every surfer is scored on two waves.
