A Peruvian university was included in the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2019, a list comprising the higher education institutions that currently produce the most employable graduates.

According to QS, Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru (PUCP) ranks in the 251-300 category. Thus, it grabbed the 9th spot among Latin America's higher learning institutions.

This year's edition of the QS GER indicates that the region's leading university for engaging with employers and nurturing successful graduates is Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, which ranks 37th globally. It is followed by Mexico's Tecnologico de Monterrey (54th, up eight places) and Brazil's Universidade de São Paulo (67th, down six places).

A total of 33 Latin American universities were considered for the rankings.

The rankings offer students, parents, and policymakers with comparative data on 500 universities, according to their ability to provide their students with a successful career.

They are compiled according to a methodology which acknowledges that the relationship between university choice and career outcomes cannot be adequately captured by earnings data or graduate employment rate figures.

World Rankings

PUCP remains the Inca country's top institution, in the 551-560 category, whereas Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM) and Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH) rank within the 801-1,000 category.
