Peruvian producers awarded at int'l Olive Oil Competition

Peruvian olive oil producers won three prices at the 2014 New york International Olive Oil Compettion (NYIOOC), whose winners were announced at a press conference on April 10th.
Of the four Peruvian extra virgin olive oils that participated this year, two scored "best in class" prizes and one earned silver award.

Oliperu SAC received two awards in the "best in class category", with their Del Prado (South Hemisphere Organic Blend Medium) and Zumaq Organic (South Hemisphere Organic Monovarietal Robust). 

Oasis Olives received a Silver Award in the South Hemisphere Non-organic Blend Robust category.

Every April in New York City, a leading panel of international experts tastes nearly 700 extra virgin olive oils from every corner of the globe to determine which deserve to be known as the very best olive oils in the world. 

The winning olive oils are coveted by chefs, food buyers and consumers everywhere who know the value of the very highest quality extra virgin olive oils.
